I can't wear face paint to a UFC match?!

Random, I know, but it's catchy, right?!

I can't remember when I updated last, or what I even talked about. I'm ready for a break, and I know that next weekend will be a great break. Sue will be in town, and we're already planning on where we're going shopping on Black Friday. It's going to be fun. She's coming to school with me on Wednesday. She'll be seeing my class in rare form. We've had testing this week in reading and writing for the district, and next week we have math for the district and then our reading unit test. Not cool Kool Aid. I was thinking about making hand turkeys with the kids at the end of the day on Wednesday (even though one of my college profs would KILL ME if he knew I was doing that!). I know that the kids are a bit too old to do that kind of thing, but it'll be something fun and relaxing for them to do after the tests. We'll share what we're thankful for. Sorry, not meaning to plan out loud...

Not much else going on here. I'll be home a month from today! I'm a little excited, since this will be the first time in about 6 months that I'll be home for longer than a weekend! YAY! I'm already planning my trip to Green Bay to see everyone, and then I have to make it around Madison seeing my peeps too. It'll be a busy 2 weeks home, but I'll make the most of it!

Quickie

Just a quick update before watching Desperate Housewives (I never EVER wanted to watch this show, but Amanda's hooked on it, so I've been watching with her since she watches all of my shows...and I'm beginning to like the show. I'm sorry.).

This week it was found out at school that I was single. Now I have a bunch of people trying to hook me up. Uh-uh. I don't know how I feel about this.

I went out with a co-worker last night. She's like my Vegas Erin. She's short, blonde, and just like Erin. We were going to go to a VIP lounge on the Strip, and then to a comped George Wallace show. Turns out we ended up going to a couple of parties thrown by other co-workers. We started out at a teacher's house hanging out and discussing sex and marriage. I sat back and listened and drank. The next place we went was Roy's. Roy's the fifth grade chairperson, and makes my life out in the portables fun as hell. I was really excited that we were invited out there, since Roy has legendary parties. He made sure I had something in my hands all night. I had a few Twisted Smirnoffs and at least 4 shots. I haven't had that much alcohol in a damn long time! AND...my friend and I were the "Token White Girls." All of Roy's family (including Roy himself) are Pacific Islanders...so we were the only 2 white people there. It was awesome.

Today I went shopping for some clothes for work. I'm so excited! I'm down 2 sizes from where I was a year ago!!! I'm uber excited. I actually did a dance in the fitting room today when I tried stuff on. It makes me feel really good about myself!! YAY!

Next Friday a bunch of us teachers are getting together for games and a pot luck. It should be a great time. I can't wait!
