First day back

It was harmless. I woke up (early as hell, I never want to leave for work while it's still dark out!!), took my shower, did my morning things, and still had time left to watch about 15 minutes of the news! Went across town to get my TB test results (I'm clean! YAY!). On the way over there someone called to wish me a "happy first day back at school". Now you see, if this person would've called me on any other day, he would've died. It's not cool calling someone at 6:15am. It was a nice gesture, and I schooled him as to what time I normally get up (6:30). Had to drive ALL the way back to my side of town. I sat in the line to get my results praying I'd make it to school on time. Yeah, I did get there at 6:50, and have to be at school no later than 8:26, but you never know with the traffic here. I got to school at about 7:45, went in, rearranged desks, printed out my lessons for the week, and then with 20 minutes to go until I had to be outside for morning duty (and I still had to go check on some things with my dept. chair before going out...), I find out I had two new students beginning today. Whatever, did my best to get them what they needed.

Went out for duty, saw my kids outside as they came to school (they actually came up to me and excitedly started telling me about their vacations...dang, they like me). Had a good day. The kids were generally good. Sent them off on their merry little ways at the end of the day, and had to change a conference with one parent after school (told the mom I was being selfish and trying not to schedule late conferences on Thursday due to my birthday--that way I can prepare my spiral mac and cheese, and sit on my futon sadly singing happy birthday to myself with a candle in a cupcake). Stayed after school until almost 5, stopped to get some stuff at the grocery store, and then proceeded to have my leftover frozen pizza and salad (which was really good for a change). Sat around watching TV, talked to Adam while he was setting up his facebook, and then lit the candles and watched How I Met Your Mother. That show is a good one. I've missed some (someone forgot to tape them for me like I asked them to!), but it's become one of my favorite shows! I got pissed at this episode though. Damn her for not telling him sooner, and damn him for going to the bakery! Leave it alone! That's what the purpose of that whole "date" was. To have a perfect night of memories, and not to see one another to ruin it! NOT TO SEE ONE ANOTHER AGAIN!! I can't blame him though, I can blame Robin, but not Ted...He didn't know....Alright, there's my rant. Sorry.

And I'm bored and want to do something mindless...here's the quiz...

Fine, I don't have to call you anymore! :-(

I'm glad you had a good first day back! I'm sure it started off right with having a great conversation with a super person.
