Such a good day

I had the best day I've ever had since I've moved out here (minus times when my sisters or friends have been out here)...so, with my friends out here.

Today started off with a meeting at school from 10-2. I was kinda dreading it. Knowing I had to go to school this morning made last night not feel like a Friday. The meeting ended up only lasting 2 hours, so that meant I could head over and start baking with Daisy and her daughter! I came home, packed up my stuff, and headed over there. When I got there, I was greeted at the door by Daisy's husband, asking if I needed some help carrying my stuff in. He helped me carry my stuff in (so did my 5 year old friend), and then "I" got to open her gift. She loved it! I had bought "I" an apron, and ironed on her name and a jewel crown. I have never seen anyone get so excited about an apron. I noticed as I was putting it into a box to wrap, that there was a big hole in the bottom of the apron. Mom told me she wouldn't notice, but I knew she would. Daisy and I had gone up to "I"'s room to finish combing her hair, and as Daisy was talking on the phone, "I" got out her sewing kit for me to sew it up. Daisy couldn't believe she had done that! Oh well, I told her I could try to fix it, but she said she'd take it to someone that she knows could use a machine to do it better than "I"'s sewing kit. We then headed downstairs to start cooking. I started unloading my stuff (I had a Rubbermaid container and a couple of bags of stuff), and getting the ovens ready. Yes, she has 2 ovens. I loved baking in there! There is so much room to move around and everything! Baking was fun, and "I" really loved doing the cookie cutters. It got old after awhile for her, but she was still loving it. She loved licking the beaters clean. That was part of her job...she got the beaters.

We took a break to run to the store once the cookies were baked, and then came back to relax. As I was laying on the floor, trying to find a child friendly question on Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture, Julie came. I was just wanting to lay down for a bit, and "I" was using my arm that was jutting out from under my head (since I was using it as a pillow) as her pillow. That's when she said she was getting hungry, and that we should start making appetizers. That was a friendly hint that she wanted the spinach dip that I was planning on making. A few more people came over, and us girls played Rudolph Monopoly while the boys played Xbox. After dinner, I got to escort "I" up to her bedroom to get ready for bed. I was requested to take her up there. It was cute. It made me feel good.

Once she was in bed, that was when Game Night started. We played Cranium wrong for awhile, and then played correctly. My team won. Then we went to play Trivial Pursuit on the Xbox. My team won. We had a rematch. We tied (but we got to the finishing place first). We then played Family Feud. We tied...and then won the last game. It was our night. At one point "I" woke up from all of the yelling we were doing. It was a good time had by all! It was awesome.

If I don't move home in the next year or so, I know I'll be good out here with my friends I've made.
