Chick Flicks...
I have not cried as hard as I did tonight since the night before I left to move out here to Vegas. I decided to watch the Dawson's Creek "exclusive never-before-seen extended cut" finale that I got this week. I lit my candles and sat down with the last glass of wine from the bottle I opened this week. Not even 10 minutes into was I crying. There were some scenes that were cut from the original episode aired, and there was one scene that just got me...and it kept getting me throughout. I think there was about 5 minutes when I was not crying. I think it just made me miss everyone at home since everyone on the show was heading home and seeing one another. They were all reuniting and having fun. I only have just about 40 days to go home and see everyone.
I finally have my digital internet and cable. I've been having a fun time getting used to my new channels. Last night I caught an episode of O'Grady. It's a cartoon on The N, and it's hilarious! It was about a year ago that Erika, Patty and I were housesitting and were addicted to The N and GaS. We saw commercials for O'Grady and wanted to see it. I finally got to see it last night. Anyhoo...a couple of the characters were getting ready to go to France for the summer, and one of them was just making English words into French using an accent. The other character was saying how it was Frenglish. Now, I would say that it's Franglais. But that's just me, seeing as how I was fluent in Franglais in high school. :)
Things seem to be getting better in the classroom. The kids were awful for the sub on Tuesday (I had a half day in the room, and the other half at a grade level meeting.). I guess the principal had to come in and physically take a student out of my room due to their behavior. The sub didn't leave me a note, and no one from the office let me know what happened...I had the kids tell me what happened. I guess they were acting like they always do with me. We had a nice long chat about that one.
I woke up early today, and went to a different grocery store to get some things since the one right by me was out of some stuff I needed last night. After that trip, I now have a newspaper subscription for 8 weeks and Girl Scout cookies. As I was driving home, I thought about just getting on the highway right in front of my apartment and heading north. I know where it goes to the south, since that's the way I came into Vegas, and have taken many times to get to and from the other side of town. I had a full tank, and didn't have anything to do at home (except for the laundry in the washer). I decided against it, and made some stuff for lunches and such. I had decided to go to a real mall today. I'm used to the strip malls and such, so I needed a true blue mall. I went in and was out within 45 minutes. It was a crappy mall! There are some stores in it that have good names, but otherwise it sucks. There were two stores I would've gone in. I went in one, but I was on my cell with my sister as I walked past Torrid. Oh well. I ventured off to Famous Footware to find shoes (no such luck), and then to Michael's to get inspired for a graduation gift for Sue for graduation. There's something I have in mind, but Jen has to find time to help me with it. I then found some other things to keep me crafting for a bit. In fact, it may be 12:30am here, but I'll still craft after I'm done posting! There's a Degrassi Old School marathon on til 2am. I can handle that!!
Well, I should be off to craft!!
